Come To Me!

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
These words were said nearly 2000 years ago, by Jesus Christ. They can be found in Matthew 11:28-30. Have you ever had an offer like it? In the midst of the turmoil and trouble of our world, in the midst of our knowledge of our personal weaknesses and the wrong we have done, here is an offer of rest for our souls. He offers us a yoke which is easy, and a burden which is light. Have you ever seriously considered this offer? I testify as one who did, 14 years ago as I write these words(*); Jesus Christ is the friend of sinners - come to him!
