Draw up a training schedule and follow it as this will give you confidence as you will know that you are well prepared. On the day of the race, break it up into short sections so that you dont get demoralised. eg When you get to Newbury you can say that you have completed one section or you can say you still have another 90 miles to go and it is getting cold and dark. Obviously these two different outlooks will have a different effect on you one being much more likely to make you want to pack in and go home. Good luck |
