Comments:I love all things paddling. I'm a veteran of the world's longest non-stop paddle race here in the U.S. known and the Missouri River 340 -- 340 miles on the Missouri River from Kansas City to St. Louis.  It is a life goal of mine to join you all in the DW.  Nothing better than connecting paddlers from different nations.  One day I'll be there!

Comments:David, I really enjoyed your site about the DW. I've visited it for the first time, and I have to admit I still don't know for a 100% what the DW actually is. My main ambition is doing the 2000 Danish Gudena race, but the 2000 or 2001 DW-race sounds like a great substitute. Will keep in touch!

Greetings from Friesland!

Interest:Paddled it!
Comments:Having paddled the race, disappointed with the mix up with all the results. It is very important when you have put in alot of effort to be told how well you have done (other years results posted up very quickly/correctly) but this year we not only had to wait but they were wrong. We thought we had won the scout trophy, only to be told, sorry there has been a mistake. Now having received our certificates, they are both the same, I would like one with my name first!

Interest:Ex-competitor and support crew
Comments:Having completed the race and supported in the race, I can now officially tell all that supporting is ten times harder and more demanding, both physically and mentally, that padelling the race. I say this to those who choose to paddle next year, you are taking the easy option, I could have done with the canoeist supporting me not the other way round !
Those with nothing else to do come easter sunday, and are actually mad enought to take part in DW, I guess that I will see you on the water (more to the point, in the Bear the night before) Have fun.

WE DID IT AND IM GOING TO BED!!!!!!

Interest:WINNING Junior/Vet crew 1999
Comments:Thanks to all those from Richmond Canoe Club who came and surported us, and cheared us on. Oh and Bad luck to that suport crew who tried to get our race number to report us for our suport crew being at the rollers at Hampton Court. Personaly I throught that the fact that the support were wearing Richmond Canoe club T shirts was a bit of a give away, better luck next time.
